A two-year-old boy came under the wheels of a school bus at Karishalabodu Tanda in Chandrugonda mandal of Bhadradri Kothagudem district on Tuesday.
The boy, identified as Dikshit, was fatally knocked down by a speeding school bus while he was playing outside his house on Tuesday morning, sources said.
The driver allegedly fled away from the spot, leaving behind the bus belonging to a private school in neighbouring Julurupadu mandal.
The tragic death of the toddler left his parents devastated.
The Chandrugonda police have registered a case against the driver of the school bus under Section 106 (1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and launched an investigation.
