The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams on Tuesday announced an extensive plan to manage the expected surge of devotees for the Vaikunta Dwara Darshan at the Tirumala temple of Lord Venkateswara from December 30 to January 8. With an emphasis on ensuring smooth access for common pilgrims, the temple administration has introduced a series of measures on ticketing, queue regulation and special entry provisions for the ten-day festival period.

For the peak days of December 30, December 31 and January 1, which coincide with Vaikunta Ekadasi, Vaikunta Dwadasi and New Year, darshan will be allowed only through the Electronic Dip system. Families of up to four members may register under the 1+3 quota from November 27 to December 1 through the TTD website, mobile app or the Andhra Pradesh government’s WhatsApp bot. The automated draw will be announced on December 2. Applicants using WhatsApp can register by sending Govinda or Hi to the official number and completing Aadhaar-based verification. Each Aadhaar and mobile number can be used only once.

As part of crowd-flow management, TTD has cancelled the 300 rupee special entry darshan and Srivani Darshan tickets for the first three days, and no offline Srivani tickets will be issued during the entire period. SSD tokens in Tirupati will remain suspended from December 30 to January 8. From January 2 to 8, Sarva Darshan will be offered directly through Vaikuntham Queue Complex 2 without tokens. Online booking for one thousand daily Srivani and fifteen thousand daily SED tickets for these seven days will open on December 5.

All privileged formats of darshan for senior citizens, infants, persons with disabilities, defence personnel and NRIs are cancelled for the ten-day period. Local residents will be accommodated on January 6, 7 and 8 under a separate quota, with tokens to be released on December 10. VIP Break Darshan will be limited to self-reporting protocol dignitaries, while all Arjita Sevas will remain suspended.

About 125 donor families who have contributed one crore rupees and above will be allowed darshan every day from December 30 to January 8. Donors who have contributed between ₹ 1 lakh and 99 lakh will receive one thousand slots on December 30 and 31 and two thousand slots daily from January 1 to 8, with online booking opening on December 5.
