Two-day Defence conclave in Coimbatore on November 13 and 14

The CODISSIA Defence Innovation and Atal Incubation Centre (CDIIC) will conduct a two-day event titled “Defence Conclave on MoD Schemes, Srijan Portal, Registration of Defence Stores Manufacturer & Quality in Defence Stores” in Coimbatore city on Thursday and Friday (November 13 and 14).

A press release said event aims to foster B2B engagement and accelerate private industry participation in India’s Defence manufacturing ecosystem, in line with the ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ vision.

J. Rajesh Kumar, Director, Combat Vehicles Research & Development Establishment (CVRDE), N. Manoharan, Director General (DG), Directorate General of Quality Assurance (DGQA), Ministry of Defence, V. Vinayagam, Senior Vice President, TIDCO, and Kuhan, nodal office of the Troop Comforts Limited, will participate in the inaugural.

Organised jointly by the CDIIC with Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML), Directorate General of Quality Assurance (DGQA), and Troop Comforts Limited (TCL), and supported by the Department of Defence Production (DDP), Ministry of Defence, the sessions are designed to provide the startups, MSMEs, and industry experts a comprehensive understanding of MoD Schemes and leveraging the Srijan portal, process for registration of Defence stores manufacturers, quality standards and certification norms (DGQA & CEMILAC), procurement and indigenisation opportunities with the Army and futuristic requirements of BEML and TCL.
