Two-day special camp for including new voters begins

A two-day special camp for including the new voters as part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of electoral roll commenced in the district on Saturday.

As the Election Commission has extended the deadline of enumeration of voters by December 14, the special camps are being organised for including the new voters who will complete the age of 18 on January 1, 2026 by submitting Form 6. Hence, the new voters submitted the filled-in Form 6 during this camp after getting it directly from the Booth Level Officers or downloading it from the internet.

In Palayamkottai Assembly constituency, the special camp was organised at 98 places where 269 booth level officers had been deployed for receiving the filled-in forms.

Kanniyakumari District Collector R. Alagumeena inspected the special camps held at Kaliyankaadu Panchayat Union Primary School under Nagercoil constituency and Thuckalay Government Model Higher Secondary School under Padmanabhapuram Government Higher Secondary School.
