Two electrocuted near Vadipatti – The Hindu

Two persons were electrocuted near Vadipatti in Madurai on Wednesday.

According to police, one Somasundaram, 60, was running a restaurant in the area and Balaguru, 50, was an employee in the shop. It was said that Somasundaram’s son, Ranjith Kumar, 35, and Balaguru were in the restaurant at the time of the incident.

Following heavy rain, Balaguru was untangling the lights that were placed in front of the shop. He was electrocuted. Ranjith Kumar, who went to the rescue of Balaguru was also electrocuted. Vadipatti police have registered a case and are investigating.
