The Medical College police on Wednesday (November 26, 2025) nabbed two traders who were suspected of selling banned tobacco products to schoolchildren. The accused are K. Anil Kumar, 49, and K.P. Safeer, 33. During a flash inspection, the police also recovered 71 packets of banned tobacco products from the two shops owned by the accused near the medical college. Following confidential complaints, the shops had been under scanner for a few weeks.
