Two, including a polytechnic student, killed as motorcycle crashes into tree

Two youngsters, including a polytechnic diploma student, were killed when their motorcycle rammed into a roadside tree at Agraharam village near Vemulawada town in Rajanna Sircilla district on Sunday.

One of the deceased was identified as Manicharan, a second-year student of Government Polytechnic College, Agraharam. Sources said that another deceased, who was riding pillion on the motorcycle, reportedly hailed from Ragudu village in Sircilla mandal.

The accident occurred when Manicharan was heading towards Vemulawada along with the pillion rider on the motorcycle to distribute the wedding invitation cards of his relative, sources added.

The Vemulawada town police have registered a case and are investigating.
