Two injured as cement plaster from roof of VAO office falls over them

Two persons were injured after cement plaster from a portion of the roof of the office of the Village Administrative Officer at Neivasal village in the district fell over them on Tuesday. The incident occurred at noon.

The injured were identified as Balasundaram, aged around 65 years, and Pandian, aged about 50 years. The two had come to the office to receive chitta document when the incident occurred.

While Balasundaram sustained head injury, Pandian suffered injury on his shoulder. The two were taken to the Thanjavur Medical College Hospital for treatment, said police sources.
