Maa Kauvery Hospital, Tiruchi, on Monday inaugurated two new speciality centres, a lactational clinic and a keto diet clinic, to enhance comprehensive mother and child care services.
The lactational clinic offers antenatal and postnatal counselling for lactating mothers, helping them experience confident and comfortable breastfeeding. It provides expert guidance and treatment for common challenges such as low milk supply, absence of milk, or painful breastfeeding. An experienced lactation consultant will offer personalised support, making the clinic a one-stop solution for all breastfeeding-related concerns.
Designed specifically for children with refractory seizures, the keto diet clinic provides scientifically guided ketogenic diet therapy as a supportive treatment alongside regular medications. It functions under the hospital’s nutrition clinic.
