Chief coordinator of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam’s (TVK) high-level administrative committee K.A. Sengottaiyan on Saturday (December 6, 2025) said actor Vijay, whom he described as a “rising youth icon,” was emerging as a leader capable of shaping the future of Tamil Nadu.
Speaking to the media after garlanding the portrait of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on his 69th death anniversary in Gobichettipalayam, Mr. Sengottaiyan said the people of the State were recognising Vijay not only as an inspiration for the youth but also as a “future force” who could lead the State.
When asked about V.K. Sasikala’s remark that his decision to join the TVK was taken in haste, Mr. Sengottaiyan walked away without responding.
