Virudhunagar Collector appeals to voters to expeditiously hand over filled-in SIR forms

Virudhunagar district administration has appealed to the voters of the district to expeditiously submit the filled-in enumeration forms under special intensive revision of electoral rolls, without not waiting for the deadline of December 4.

In a statement, Collector N.O. Sukhaputra said that 98.28% or 15,9,433 enumeration forms out of 16,26,485 voters of seven Assembly constituencies in the district have been given the enumeration forms till date.

Besides, 9,78,296 or 60.15% of the filled-in forms received from the voters have been uploaded in the Election Commission website.

The Collector said that Booth Level Officers (BLOs) were making door-to-door visit to assist the voters in filling the forms and for collecting them. He also said that the voters need not give any documents while handing over the filled-in enumeration forms.

He added that Election Commission of India, has permitted the booth agents appointed by recognised political parties to collect the filled-in forms.

Stating that the collected enumeration forms should be digitised by December 4, the Collector said in order to ensure uploading of all the forms on time, voters should hand them over at the earliest. The voters should get acknowledgement from the BLOs while handing over the forms.
