Visakhapatnam’s Adani Gangavaram Port besieged by workers

A tense situation prevailed at Adani Group’s Gangavaram Port in Visakhapatnam, as the workers under the aegis of the trade unions, protested on Monday, urging the port management to fulfill their demands.

They besieged the Gangavaram Port and the police reached the spot to pacify the situation.

As the police stopped them from entering the port, tension arose for sometime at the main gate of Gangavaram Port. This led to an altercation with the police when they tried to stop them.

Hundreds of port workers reached on Monday (December 8, 2025) morning along with their families including women and children.

Raising slogans against the port authorities and the government, they demanded that their problems be resolved at the earliest, otherwise situation will be different, they warned.
