Dr. B.B. Das, Surgical Gastroenterologist and Robotic Surgeon, CARE Hospitals, Visakhapatnam, performed 1,000 Robotic Gastrointestinal (GI) surgeries within 18 months. This milestone highlights the rapid adoption of cutting-edge medical technology by CARE Hospitals, according to a statement issued by the hospital on Friday (December 05, 2025).
Dr. Das has pioneered minimally invasive and robotic surgical advancements, enabling safer and more precise GI procedures for patients across Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and neighbouring regions.
