Vizag SEZ turnover shows 4.34% growth in 2nd Quarter compared to last year

VSEZ zone has recorded exports to the tune of ₹58,505 crore during the second quarter (July-September) registering a growth of 4.34% over the same period during the previous year, Zonal Development Commissioner, Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone, Srinivas Muppaala said on Friday.

Of this, service exports are ₹43,871 crore and merchandise exports ₹14,634 crore.

During the six months period of April to September 2025, VSEZ zone has recorded exports to the tune of ₹1,17,050 crore, comprising of merchandise exports of ₹30,414 crore and service exports of ₹86,636 crore, registering a growth of 7% over the same period during the previous year.

During the period July-September, three new SEZ unit proposals have been granted approval in Telangana and two new SEZ unit proposals in Andhra Pradesh, the Development Commissioner said.

The newly approved SEZ units are expected to make an investment of ₹467.5 crore and provide employment to 1032 persons. In Andhra Pradesh, the two new units are M/s. Aerochema Ingredients Pvt Ltd for manufacture of aroma ingredients in M/s. APIIC Multi Product SEZ, Naidupeta and M/s Bonbloc Technologies for rendering IT/ITES services in M/s. Ace Urban Hi tech City Limited SEZ.

In Telangana, the units are M/s. Sutherland Healthcare Solutions Pvt. Ltd (U-3), M/s. Hitachi Digital Global India Pvt. Ltd and M/s. DigiEdze Soft Solutions Pvt. Ltd for rendering IT/ITES services.
