VIZIANAGARAM:
Vizianagaram Two Town Police Station has launched a novel programme named SAATHI, (meaning a companion), to raise awareness among people about the activities of the department such as road safety measures, protection of women, patrolling in the outskirts and citizen participation in charitable activities.
Two Town Circle Inspector T. Srinivasa Rao told The Hindu that the programme is aimed to reach maximum number of people through social media platforms.
“We will share short message oriented reels on Instagram, Facebook, X , Youtube, ARATAI and WhatsApp. People can follow the SAATHI portal and receive updates, and easily share their grievances with the police personnel.”
Vizianagaram Superintendent of Police A.R. Damodar hailed Mr. Srinivasa Rao for taking the initiative to effectively use social media in highlight the department’s activities.”
