Vizianagaram TDP gears up for local body polls

VIZIANAGARAM:

The Telugu Desam Party (TP) which is keen to regain its strength in the Vizianagaram Municipal Corporation, is focussing on party activities at ground level in all the 50 divisions, for which new party committees have been appointed recently.

Having won only one division out of the 50 divisions in 2019 local body elections, the party is hopeful of registering a decent victory in the forthcoming municipal elections.

Following the call given by Chief Minister and TDP National President N. Chandrababu Naidu, MLA Aditi Vijaya Lakshmi has been visiting all divisions to highlight the achievements of the NDA government in the past one year. Along with party leaders, she has been distributing pamphlets printed in the name of Suparipalanalo Toliadugu’ which underlined in detail the developmental activities in the Vizianagaram constituency in the last one year.

The key developments highlighted in the pamphlets are— the construction of new substations at Sonia Nagar, Venugopalapuram, establishment of additional transformers, feeders, improvement of road network, railway Underpass Bridge near the goods shed, and repairs of social welfare hostels.

Speaking to media Ms.Aditi Vijaya Lakshmi exuded confidence that the people would bless the TDP in the upcoming local body elections as they were unhappy with the YSRCP’s administration of the Corporation over the last five years.

She said: “The people have observed the effective administration of Mr. Naidu’s government which secured investments worth ₹13 lakh crore for the State including North Andhra district. Vizianagaram constituency stands to benefit from this development. These factors will make voters bless the TDP in the elections whenever they are held.”
