Voter enumeration under SIR begins in Krishnagiri

The voter enumeration under the Special Intensive Revision exercise began here with the Booth Level Officers commencing on door-to-door voter enumeration across all six Assembly segments on Tuesday.

Collector C. Dinesh Kumar inspected the enumeration in Krishnagiri Assembly constituency in Kattinayanapalli panchayat, where voters Mohan, Amutha, Arun in ward 38 were handed out the enumeration form by the BLO. He also visited the home of voters Kanchana, Krishnamoorthy in Vattaranapalli panchayat in Bargur constituency, and witnessed the enumeration exercise and sought out clarifications from the BLO.

The BLOs will make door-to-door visits and handover enumeration forms for all existing voters. The voters will fill up the form and affix a passport size photograph and submit the forms to the BLOs. The BLOs shall visit each household at least 3 times to conduct the exercise. For the inclusion of new voters, Form 6 and self-affidavit of Annexure IV shall be collected.

The exercise will also identify dead voters, permanently migrated voters, and those with multiple voter registrations. At the time of enumeration, no documents are required for submission. All voters, whose signed enumeration forms were collected, will have their names included in the draft list.

The arrival of the BLOs will be intimated to the voters through the recognised political party agents and also by the BLOs. The enumeration forms must be duly filled and submitted before the deadline. The enumeration forms may also be downloaded online on https://www.voters.eci.gov.in and duly filled with signature and photographs and submitted to the BLO.

The Special Intensive Revision will continue upto December 4, and the draft voter list will be published on December 9.
