The Waltair Division of East Coast Railway (ECoR) has launched a campaign to promote Digital Life Certificate (DLC), also known as Jeevan Pramaan on Tuesday. The campaign was led by ADRM (Operations) K. Rama Rao at Kirandul station, with the campaign organised by assistant personnel officer D. V. Appa Rao at Jagadalpur, Koraput, Lakshmipur Road, and Rayagada.
A subsequent camp was conducted at Srikakulam, with plans to extend it to Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram in the coming week. The government initiative simplifies the process of life certification for pensioners. DLC, aims to make pension services more accessible and efficient for retired central government employees. The program has been modified with face authentication technology, biometric devices, mobile applications, and doorstep services to verify life certificates, without the need for in-person visits or paperwork.
This is the 4th edition of the annual campaign, being conducted from November 1 to 30. It is being carried out across the Division in collaboration with pension disbursing banks and pensioners’ welfare associations. The objective is to ensure every pensioner, regardless of location or mobility constraints, can submit their life certificate easily and securely, said K. Pavan Kumar senior divisional commercial manager.
