The rainfall recorded in Tirunelveli district ending at 6 a.m on Sunday are as follows (in mm): Ambasamudram 6, Cheranmahadevi 9.80, Palayamkottai 10.20, Tirunelveli 17.80, Manjolai 3, Kakkachi 4, Nalumukku 4 and Oothu recorded 6 mm rainfall.
