Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, in association with The Hindu EducationPlus, is presenting a “Career Path Series” session on “How to Make a Successful Career in Research.”
The webinar is scheduled to be held at 11.30 a.m. on November 6. It aims at guiding aspiring researchers, academicians, and students who wish to build a strong and fulfilling career in research.
The speakers will share insights on developing essential research skills, identifying emerging areas, publishing impactful work, and navigating the professional challenges associated with research-based careers.
A. Nirmala Grace, Professor and Director, Centre for Nanotechnology Research, VIT, Vellore, will deliver a talk on “An overview of careers in research, strategies for building a successful research career, and insights into research opportunities at VIT”, while Jobel Jose, research scholar, VIT, Vellore, will share insights on “The journey of a research scholar — understanding research, choosing a research topic, and how institutions collaborate with industries”.
Vaishali Kulkarni, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, KBCols Sciences Pvt. Ltd., Pune, will deliver a talk on the “Transitioning from academia to industry — challenges, opportunities, and applications of research”.
