K.N. Rajanna, who was recently sacked from the Siddaramaiah-led Cabinet, said on Friday that he will be going to New Delhi after the Assembly session to meet the leaders to know the exact reasons for his removal.
He also expressed confidence about coming back as Minister within the current governmentās tenure.
The Madhugiri MLA was Co-operative Minister and removed from the Cabinet on Monday, following directions from the Congress high command.Ā His comments on Congress leader Rahul Gandhiās āvote theftā allegations during the 2024 Lok Sabha polls had not gone down well with the party high command. Noting that the voter lists for the polls in Karnataka were prepared under the Congress government, he had questioned his own party as to why they didnāt stop the irregularities then.

Speaking to reporters on Friday, he said he was confident that the high command would be convinced about his explanation when he meets them. āThere may be some people in Delhi who are conspiring against me,ā he said.
He said the Chief Minister himself was not aware that the high command was thinking of sacking. āMr. Siddaramaiah had tried to convince the high command, but when they said a decision had been made, he told me the situation. I said fine,ā he added.
Asked whether his open statements proved costly for him, Mr. Rajanna said, āI might have spoken certain truth. I will go to Delhi and try to find out,ā he added.
