A woman was found murdered at Nehru Nagar in Belur town on Wednesday, November 19. The police identified the deceased as Sanjana, 34, a native of Mallenahalli at Chikkamagaluru.
Sanjana had rented the house about eight days ago and had been staying alone. The owner of the house developed suspicions as the front door of the house had remained open for several hours on November 19. When he went inside along with neighbours, he found the her lying dead on the ground. He informed Belur police.
The police suspected that unknown people entered the house and murdered her. The Belur police have registered the case.
