Woman found murdered near Dindigul

A 27-year-old woman Meena of Seelapadi was found murdered with multiple cuts at Sellamanthadi under Thadikombu police station limits on Monday evening. The police said that the woman, who was not married, had shifted from Palani to Seelapadi some four months ago. She used to go for small time work.

The woman was found murdered in an interior area, some 3 km away from the main road, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (Dindigul Rural), S. Sankar, said. The body had borne cut injuries on the head, face and hand. Thadikombu police were investigating as to why the woman had gone to the secluded place and the motive and perpetrators of the crime.
