Woman’s bid to attempt suicide at police station foiled

A young woman allegedly attempted suicide on Sunday at the Gajuwaka police station, after her complaint was reportedly dismissed by the police, .

According to the sources, the woman had filed a complaint with the Gajuwaka police stating that a young man had cheated her in the name of love. The police tried to convince the young man to come to the station to solve the problem.

However, the man refused to marry the girl, despite repeated attempts by the police to convince him. Upset over his refusal, the young woman attempted suicide. The police present protected her and rushed her to the hospital, where she is undergoing treatment for the injuries she sustained during the attempt, police sources said.
