A one-day workshop on “Mediation in Domestic Violence Cases” was conducted at the Andhra Pradesh Judicial Officers Training Centre in Kaza village of Mangalagiri mandal in Guntur district, on Saturday.
The programme was graced by Justice J.K. Maheshwari, Judge of the Supreme Court of India, and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur, Chief Justice of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh. Justice Ravi Nath Tilhari, President of the Board of Governors, Andhra Pradesh Judicial Academy, along with other High Court Judges and Registrars, also attended the event.
The workshop was attended by Principal District and Sessions Judges heading District Legal Services Authorities (DLSA), one Additional District Judge from each district, authorised officers of Commercial Courts, the Member Secretary of the Andhra Pradesh State Legal Services Authority, the Secretary of the High Court Legal Services Committee, the Deputy Secretary of the State Legal Services Authority, Secretaries of all District Legal Services Authorities, and one Magistrate from each district.
From Guntur, B. Sai Kalyan Chakravarthi, Principal District and Sessions Judge, and Syed Ziyauddin, Secretary, DLSA, participated in the programme.
The workshop was organised under the supervision of Chintalapudi Purushotham Kumar, Director, Andhra Pradesh Judicial Academy.
