The Yenagi Balappa Memorial Theatre Festival was successfully celebrated in Belagavi for three days from November 7.

Members of Ranga Aradhana Cultural organisation in Saundatti and Ranga Sampada performed three plays.

They felicitated senior theatre personalities and paid respects to novelist S. L. Bhyrappa, theatre artists Yashwant Sardeshpande, Raju Talikoti, D. Hanumakka and Annapurna Ashoka Malagali.

Ranga Sampada members performed Nakshatra Yatrikaru at the Kannada Bhavan. It was written by Sandhya S. and directed by Savita Bhyrappa.

The plays Nelamugilu and Halu Battaladolagina Palu, by Zakir Nadaf, were presented by Ranga Aradhana.

Senior writers and theatre personalities were felicitated. The festival was organized in collaboration with the Union Ministry of Culture, the Department of Kannada and Culture, Bengaluru, Ranga Shristi and Kannada Bhavan, Belagavi, said a release.
