The Vellayil police on Wednesday (October 29, 2025) arrested a 20-year-old man from West Hill on charges of sexually abusing a 16-year-old girl. The suspect was identified as Mahi Ambadi Veetil. He was booked under various sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The alleged incident took place in 2024. Police sources said the youth was nabbed based on a complaint filed by the survivor.
