A 22-year-old college student, Dhanush from Tiruvannamalai district, died after being hit by a suburban train near Pattabiram on Saturday evening.
The police said Dhanush was walking along the railway tracks near Hindu College railway station on his way home from college, when the train hit him. He died on the spot. Avadi GRP personnel sent the body for a post-mortem.
