A 25-year-old man was nabbed by the police for sexually harassing with a 50-year-old woman conservancy worker on Adyar flyover. The worker chased him away by hitting him with a broom.

Police said the woman worker from Royapuram was engaged in cleaning work on the Adyar flyover early this morning. At that time, the youth arrived on a two-wheeler and was watching her for some time. When there was no one around, he allegedly misbehaved with the woman conservancy worker. Reacting immediately, the worker hit the youth with her broom and chased him away.

Based on her complaint, police launched an investigation into the incident, which was captured on the CCTV camera of a nearby vehicle. Police traced and nabbed the youth, a native of Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, who is presently staying at Porur and working with an IT firm.

Police sources added that, during interrogation, he told the police that he was in an inebriated condition and stopped his bike on the roadside to urinate. Further interrogations are on.
