A Judicial Magistrate court in Tiruvottiyur has sentenced a youth from Madurai to three years in prison for secretly filming a woman while she was bathing at her home and misbehaving with her four years ago.
The Manali police arrested A. Monish Gowtham, 22, of Samayanallur in Madurai following a complaint from the woman.
The prosecution said that around noon on April, 28, 2021, Monish Gauthaman, secretly recorded the woman bathing, through the gap below the bathroom door. When she came out, the accused entered her house and misbehaved with her.
She immediately raised an alarm, took her child and ran to her mother’s house nearby.
The accused fled the scene.
