The Prohibition Enforcement Wing (PEW), Pallikaranai, has seized 110 kg of ganja and arrested three accused.
Police said on Tuesday, at 7 a.m., a team intercepted a car near TNHB B6 road in Sholinganallur and seized 110 kg of ganja. The team also seized the vehicle, three-mobile phones and contraband items, and arrested three persons.
Police said the accused confessed to have purchased the ganja from Odisha to sell in Pallikaranai and nearby areas.
A case has been registered in PEW, Pallikaranai, under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. All three accused were produced before the Judicial Magistrate concerned and remanded in judicial custody. Further probe is under way.
