Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel attached to Mangaluru Central railway station of Southern Railway booked 15 persons for trespassing on railway tracks and fishing (angling) from the Netravathi railway bridge in Mangaluru on Wednesday.

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel attached to Mangaluru Central station under Southern Railway on Tuesday booked 15 people for trespassing on railway property and fined ₹500 per person, collecting a penalty of ₹7,500.
RPF Inspector Manoj Kumar Yadav and his staff conducted a special drive on the Netravathi twin bridges, during which the trespassers were rounded up, said a statement. Many were found fishing while sitting in the gap between the bridge’s girders and the pillars.
Many people were caught while engaging in fishing from the pillars of the railway bridge.
