A 20-year-old youth was abducted in broad daylight in Bihar’s Supaul district on Monday (September 28, 2026) in the Bhimpur police station area. The abductors first hit the youth from behind, who was on a motorcycle on the State highway and then forcefully dragged him into the car. The video of the abduction has also gone viral on social media.
When villagers tried to chase the kidnappers, they opened fire on them to create panic. The police have recovered a used cartridge from the place of occurrence.
Police have identified the abducted youth named Mohammad Zeeshan Khan, a resident of Madhopur Panchayat, under the Chhatapur police station area.
Mr. Zeeshan was travelling towards Bhimpur on his motorcycle (BR50AD8174) when criminals waiting there intercepted him. Soon after receiving information about the abduction, police reached at the spot to investigate the case.
Police have not yet disclosed the motive behind the youth’s abduction or the number of people involved in the kidnapping. Police teams are conducting continuous raids to trace the youth. Supaul Superintendent of Police (SP) Sarath R.S. has formed a special team led by the Triveniganj Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) to locate and safely recover him.
Posting the video on social media X, Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Legislative Assembly Tejashwi Yadav slammed the Samrat Choudhary-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) alliance government in Bihar.
“Kidnapping of youth in broad daylight in Samrat Chaudhary Style! The goons first rammed into the bike, then, while firing shots, shoved the youth into a car and abducted him. Ever since the accused in 7 murders became the Chief Minister, the criminals’ morale has gone high because the criminals too know that the CM belongs to their very own league. Now, they will dig into the sun-moon and caste before 2005 in this matter,”Mr. Yadav wrote in the post.
