34-year-old man killed after being hit by train

D. Kannan, 34, was killed after being hit by an express train at Ennore railway station on Sunday. The Korukkupet Government Railway Police (GRP) have filed a case and are investigating.

The Government Railway Police said Kannan, a daily wage worker, from Sathyavani Muthu Nagar in Ennore, was crossing the tracks after dropping his father off at the station when the train hit him. He sustained a head injury and died on the spot. Passers-by informed the police, who sent his body for a post-mortem.
