3D printing lab launched at Puducherry Technological University

An Additive Manufacturing Lab was inaugurated at the Puducherry Technological University here on Monday.

According to a press note, the lab equipped with 3D printers and scanners would help students meet all academic requirements. Sponsored by the Seed Foundation, an alumni-led organisation of the PTU, the lab would help students turn ideas and real-world objects into precise digital and physical models, enabling rapid prototyping, reverse engineering, and accurate documentation.

The lab was inaugurated by S. Mohan, Vice-Chancellor of PTU.

M. Pugazhvadivu, Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering was present.
