47 medical tests to be conducted as part of Citizen Health Screening drive in Andhra Pradesh

Minister for Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Satya Kumar Yadav on Wednesday gave the go-ahead for conducting 47 medical tests for people identified in surveys as having lifestyle diseases, or at risk of developing them.

According to a press release from the department on Wednesday, in the recent non-communicable diseases (NCD) survey, 56,40,000 people were identified as having different types of disease. In addition to them, the number also includes students of residential welfare schools.
