Nurses who have secured jobs in Germany in an upbeat mood at a programme organised by Overseas Manpower Company Andhra Pradesh Limited at Tadepalli on Friday.

Excitement filled the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) office at Tadepalli on Friday, as a large number of youths gathered to receive their offer letters and certificates before leaving for overseas jobs.
As many as 44 nurses selected for employment in Germany and nine drivers chosen for jobs in Dubai were felicitated at a programme organised by Overseas Manpower Company Andhra Pradesh Limited (OMCAP). The selected candidates will receive monthly remuneration in the range between ₹3 lakh to ₹Rs. 4 lakh.
The programme highlighted the support extended by the State Government, OMCAP, APSSDC, AP Non-Resident Telugus’ Society (APNRTS) and partner organisation 2COMS in providing training and facilitating overseas employment.
Under Project Vasudha, the nursing candidates were provided with free German language and employment-oriented training, as well as visa processing and international travel support. The initiative aims to enable skilled youth, particularly those from economically disadvantaged families, to access safe and legitimate overseas employment opportunities.
B2-level German language certificates and employment offer letters were distributed to the selected candidates.
APNRT president Ravi Kumar Vemuru assured the candidates of support after they reached their respective workplaces. He said APNRT coordinators in several countries could assist Indians working abroad and advised the candidates to register with the organisation to access its services.
He urged them to prioritise their safety, follow the laws of their host countries and maintain professional discipline while upholding the reputation of Andhra Pradesh and India.
APSSDC Managing Director and CEO G. Ganesh Kumar said foreign-language skills were increasingly becoming important for international jobs. He said the corporation was working to expand German and other foreign-language training programmes to prepare more skilled youth for overseas employers.
“We are working to create more such opportunities by engaging with employers in a few other countries where our trained manpower can find jobs,” said OMCAP General Manager and APSSDC Executive Director D. Manohar.
