A total of 6.32 lakh adult learners appeared for the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Assessment Test (FLNAT) conducted across Telangana on Sunday (September 28, 2026). Of them, 98,324 are self-help group (SHG) members and 720 are street vendors.
For adults aged 15 and above who missed schooling
ULLAS (Understanding of Lifelong Learning for All in Society), the New India Literacy Programme (NILP), seeks to provide adults aged 15 and above who missed formal schooling with functional literacy. The Adult Education Department coordinated the test.
Eligible for Class X through open-school system
Panchayat Raj, Rural Development and Women and Child Welfare Minister D. Anasuya Seethakka urged women who cleared the ULLAS assessment to make use of the opportunity to continue their education, as they are eligible to pursue Class X through the open-school system. With admissions to the Telangana Open School Society (TOSS) under way for the 2026-27 academic year, those interested can approach their nearest MeeSeva centre or TOSS study centre and apply online through the TOSS website.
