Senior leader of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) T. Harish Rao criticised Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for exposing his nature of spitting venom at political opponents within minutes after Justice (Retd.) B. Sudershan Reddy advocated against hate speech at the Raavi Narayana Reddy memorial award event here on Monday.
The Chief Minister had given a live demo for hate speech immediately after the former Supreme Court Judge spoke on hate speech, Mr. Rao said in a statement. The Chief Minister’s speech made it clear one more time the extent of his animosity against former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao.
Despite a four-day study in Harvard University, Mr. Revanth Reddy was unable to shed his true colours. There was no change in his culture, cheap talk and taunts. He was a standing example for hate politics and spitting venom at political opponents, Mr. Harish Rao said.
He stated that Mr. Revanth Reddy had no moral rights to speak about the movement for Statehood to Telangana and Mr. Chandrashekhar Rao’s role in it as he was with the antagonists of Telangana and it was Mr. Reddy who had aimed a gun at the Telangana protagonists during the Statehood movement. “Mr. Reddy had no moral right to speak on misuse of official power as it was he who was using power to settle scores with opponents and not for development and welfare of people,” he added.
