The Board of Intermediate Education (BIE), Andhra Pradesh, has invited online applications for the establishment of new private unaided junior colleges in the State for the academic year 2026–27.
The notification, issued on Thursday (February 5, 2026) follows the government’s approval for setting up 32 colleges in 26 identified mandals and six colleges in two municipal areas assessed as viable.
A statement by BIE Secretary Ranjit Basha said the applications from registered educational societies and trusts must be submitted online through the BIE website — https://bie.ap.gov.in — from February 5.
Inspection teams would verify the infrastructure and statutory requirements through the geo-tagged photographs using a mobile application. Provisional permission and affiliation would be granted after verification and compliance with the prescribed norms.
“The last date for submission of applications and documents is February 25, 2026,” said the statement, adding that incomplete applications would be rejected. Approvals would be based on the recommendations of a three-member committee, the statement said.
