District-level committee set up for complaints of orderly system in Krishnagiri

A district-level committee has been constituted in pursuance of the Government Order (G.O.) to ensure complete eradication of the orderly system in the Police Department.

The G.O. is in compliance with the Madras High Court Order, 2014, that directed abolition of orderly system within four months. Further, in pursuance of the order, the Court had once again in 2026 directed an end to the practice. In compliance, the Government had issued a G.O. directing the district-level committees to abolish the system at all levels across the State.
