The Forest Department has registered a case and imposed a fine of ₹4,000 on a man for uploading a video on social media in which he used his pet dog to attack a snake near Bhavani on Wednesday (March 25, 2026).
The accused, Cherian Augustine of Lakshmi Nagar EB Colony near Bhavani, had allegedly provoked a rat snake that had entered his farm a few days ago by setting his pet dog on it. He recorded the incident and uploaded the video on Instagram.
