The water level in Papanasam dam stood at 96.20 feet (the maximum level is 143 feet) with an inflow of 4,137.37 cusecs and a discharge of 504.75. The level in Manimuthar dam stood at 74.70 feet (the maximum level is 118 feet) with an inflow of 1,059.84 cusecs and a discharge of 95 cusecs.

Rainfall recorded in Tirunelveli district ending at 6 a.m on Saturday is as follows (in mm): Radhapuram 15, Cheranmahadevi 4.20, Nanguneri 6, Manjolai 22, Kakkachi 47, Nalumukku 68 and Oothu 59.
