On account of the Nagara Panchami festival, a holiday has been declared for educational institutions, government offices, and private institutions in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts on Monday.
In an official notification, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi Deputy Commissioners H.V. Darshan and T.K. Swaroopa said the government had directed the two to take a decision at the local level on giving a holiday for the Nagara Panchami festival, which is an important local festival.
Monday would be a general holiday for educational institutions, government offices and private firms across the two districts, the two Deputy Commissioners stated.
