Round Table India’s Area 9 on Saturday, September 12, unveiled the design of a new school that will be contributed to the Telangana government under its Freedom Through Education initiative.
Telangana IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu unveiled the project during the organisation’s 25th Charter Day celebrations. The first phase of the project is estimated to cost between ₹3.5 crore to ₹4 crore. Addressing the gathering, the minister highlighted the need for the government, civil society and industry to work together to strengthen the education system.
He said students from economically weaker sections studying in government schools should have access to the same quality of education and facilities available to students in private institutions. The Minister appreciated members of Round Table India for contributing their time, resources and technical expertise towards improving school infrastructure. He also invited the organisation to collaborate with the government in renovating and upgrading government schools across Telangana.
