A YouTuber’s house was burgled at Thammathukonam in Kanniyakumari district on Thursday, with around 100 sovereigns of gold jewellery reportedly stolen from the house.
According to police, the complainant S. Vinodh Kumar, 32 had gone to Tirunelveli with his family and returned home late on Thursday night. When they attempted to open the front door, they found that it could not be unlocked.
A carpenter was called to open the door. He suspected that it might have been locked from inside. However, when Vinod Kumar checked the rear side door of the house, he found that it had been broken open. On checking the house, the family found that around 100 sovereigns of gold jewellery had been stolen.
Upon receiving information, Rajakamangalam police rushed to the spot and conducted inquiries. Forensic Department personnel were called to the scene and samples were collected.
A case has been registered at Rajakamangalam police station and further investigations are under way.
