Social security pension beneficiaries in Coimbatore urged to link Aadhaar with bank accounts

Social security pension beneficiaries in Coimbatore district who have not received their assistance have been asked to ensure that their Aadhaar numbers are linked to their bank accounts and that NPCI mapping is active

The district administration in a press release said Aadhaar-based fund transfer has been made mandatory for disbursing social security assistance from September 2026. While most beneficiaries have received their pension, payments could not be credited to some beneficiaries as their Aadhaar details were not properly linked to their bank accounts.

Beneficiaries who have not completed the linkage, as well as those who have linked their Aadhaar but have not received the pension, should approach their bank branches and verify the Aadhaar linkage and NPCI mapping. The pension payment will be processed after the necessary corrections are made.

For assistance, beneficiaries can approach the help desks at the office of the Special Deputy Collector (Social Security Scheme) at the Collectorate or at the offices of the Special Tahsildars of Social Security Schemes.
