A total of 28 grievances were filed during the Praja Seva programme for Kaup taluk of Udupi district on Saturday. The programme was chaired by Kaup MLA Gurme Suresh Shetty at the Padubidri Gram Panchayat auditorium.
Among the grievances filed were those related to road repairs, street lights, drinking water, power supply, Akrama-sakrama, title deeds, and social pension schemes. Kaup Tahsildar and other Kaup taluk officials took part in the programme.
Udupi programme
Udupi MLA Yashpal Suvarna inaugurated and chaired the Praja Seva programme for Udupi taluk. The programme was held at the Tenkanidiyuru Ganeshotsava auditorium.
Inaugurating the programme, Mr. Suvarna asked officials to make efforts to resolve grievances on the spot. The grievances filed during the programme should be resolved within 21 days. The MLA said he had spoken in the Assembly about the need to fill 50% vacant posts in government offices. Filling up vacant posts will help in speeding up the work of the people.
Udupi Taluk Guarantee Scheme Implementation Committee President Ramesh Kanchan also spoke.
