Residents protest demanding removal of Tasmac shop near Watrap

Scores of residents of S. Ramachandrapuram and S. Rengappanaickenpatti squatted in a temple near Watrap demanding to remove a Tasmac shop on Sunday.

The residents have been protesting against the Tasmac shop for a long time. They have also hoisted black flags in the villages.

The protesters, mostly aged women, squatted on the temple premises, complaining that the Tasmac shop was causing lot of inconvenience to the local people and wanted to remove it.

However, after one hour of protest, the agitators dispersed.
