CWC Member Gidugu Rudraraju demands resignation of CEC Gyanesh Kumar

Former AP Congress Committee president and Congress Working Committee (CWC) member Gidugu Rudraraju and All India Congress Committee secretary Janga Goutham on Wednesday demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar for allegedly failing to guarantee transparency in the electoral process.

Led by Mr. Rudraraju, the Congress leaders took out a rally and staged a dharna at the Clock Tower in Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Konaseema district, condemning the alleged role of Mr. Gyanesh Kumar in weakening the electoral process in recent years across the country. 

“The Election Commission of India should guarantee transparency and display impartiality in the electoral process. The people of the country expect the Election Commission to respect the democratic values”, said Mr. Rudraraju. The Congress leaders raised slogans, demanding the resignation of Mr. Gyanesh Kumar with immediate effect as he lost the public trust.
